The Museum of Alabama tour at competitive rates along with the Prompt Charters in US

museum of alalbamaYou might be interested to know that located in downtown Montgomery, the Museum of Alabama presents before you Alabama’s past from prehistory to the present. You will also come to know that the Museum is located at the Alabama Department of Archives and History (ADAH), the nation’s oldest state-funded, independent archival and historical agency along with the promptcharters.com

You will find here permanent exhibitions at the Museum of Alabama include The Land of Alabama, introducing the geology and natural resources that helped shape the state’s history, and The First Alabamians, featuring artifacts, murals, and a diorama that tell the inspiring story of fourteen thousand years of Native American culture.

It is interesting to note that nearly 800 artifacts, hundreds of images and documents, and twenty-two audiovisual programs tell the story of struggles over the land, the rise of a cotton economy, the Civil War, industrialization, world wars, civil rights, the race to the moon, and more. Voices taken from diaries, letters, speeches, songs, and other sources convey the experiences of Alabamians who lived through and shaped the history of these periods.

Just enjoy the museum’s interactive educational resources for children and families in the Hands-On-Gallery and Grandma’s Attic. Here, families and children can dress in period costumes, play with toys from bygone eras, make their own crafts, listen to stories, and much more.

26 – Junior Naturalist Program – Water Science
Have you ever wanted to learn how to identify trees, leaves, flowers, and insects? Then this is the program for you! Join us as we visit local sites and learn about nature. 3rd-6th grade explorers. 10 AM – 12 PM. $10 per session. Space is limited, and registration is required.

APRIL
1- Growing Up Wild Preschool Friday
Ready, set, grow! Preschoolers and their caregivers are invited to explore the Museum and learn about nature through activities, crafts and stories. $2 per child and caregiver. 10:00 a.m.– noon.

2- JCC Sanders Lecture Series Lecture

17 – Science Sunday: Aquatic Alabama
Alabama has the some of the most ecologically diverse waterways in the United States. Join us as we celebrate Alabama’s waterways, life that is supported by them, and the challenges they face with presenters from both UA and Tuscaloosa community. 1:00 pm – 4:20 pm. Free and fun for all ages!

18 – Dr Lee Berger Lecture “Almost Human: The Discovery of Homo naledi”
University of Alabama Museums is bringing Dr. Lee Berger to campus to speak on April 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the UA Biology Building Auditorium. Admission is free, and seating will be first-come, first-serve.

23 – Living History Festival
Meet and talk to historic figures from the University of Alabama Museum’s and UA’s past as they bring their stories to life. Discover how these important people shaped history and played significant roles in the story of the University. Tours from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. every half an hour.

University of Alabama tour exploration at competitive rates along with the Prompt Charters in US

You might be interested to know that the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa began in 1827 and today the campus inhouses an art gallery, 50-acre arboretum, pre-Civil War classroom, two museums, and the Gorgas House, which now serves as a museum along with the promptcharters.comuniversity of alabama

You will aslo love the Gorgas House built in 1829 as the first structure completed on the campus by renowned architect William Nichols.

It is interesting to see here the Alabama Museum of Natural History being located in Smith Hall, the first building to be built on the University of Alabama campus in Tuscaloosa in the 20th C. Enjoy here the exhibits like displays from the Age of Dinosaurs, the Coal Age, and the Ice Age. Visitors can also view the Hodges meteorite, the only meteorite known to have struck a human.

Then there is the Paul W. Bryant Museum highlighting the history of the University of Alabama football tradition back to its beginning in 1892. The collections highlight other sports played by University athletes as well.
